Custom software development · San José, Costa Rica What brings you here?

Pick one of the four boxes: that alone tells me where to start. Naming the problem is exactly what we do here. I am Giancarlos, and I am the one who answers.

a direct visit

01

Data and decisions

You have an ERP, a CRM and spreadsheets, and decisions still get made by eye.

02

Operations

The process works, but it costs more than it should and time gets lost in specific stretches.

03

Digital product

You need a website, a store or an app that holds up in production from day one.

04

Open diagnostic

You know something can work better. Naming it precisely is the first step.

Where are you right now?

Four options per family. Pick the closest one: the result can be adjusted afterwards.

01

Web analytics

Visits arrive. Why they leave can be measured too.

02

Dashboard

The numbers exist: they can be seen together in one picture.

03

Data extraction

Your data is in there. It has to come out.

04

CRM implementation

A CRM where everyone logs things the same way, with the fields your team agrees on.

01

Operations optimization

The process works. It costs twice what it should.

02

Logistics and WMS

The warehouse records what comes in. What goes out can reconcile just as well.

03

Inventory

The system says 40 and the shelf has 32: that can be reconciled.

04

Open source

You may be paying for something that is already free.

01

E-commerce

A store is an operation that sells every day, more than a catalog.

02

Web development

Your website can explain what you do, to whom and why you.

03

Apps

A spreadsheet holds your business up: that can become an app of your own.

04

Open source implementation

Stand the open source base up and adapt it to your operation.

Visits arrive. I can tell you why they leave.

I instrument what you already have —and set it up where it pays off— and we agree on which metric decides something. A one-page report a month, with what really moves decisions.

Who answers you

Direct contact: the person who quotes is the person who later builds, and who answers you when something breaks on a Friday.

  • 10+ years building production software: fintech, e-commerce and data platforms.
  • One single engineer per project. Direct contact from start to finish, with the same person who writes the code.
  • 7 projects published with client, year and platform, each one with its link. The documented case lives in Work.

Documented case

Armacancha: pitches, leagues and football tournaments living in one system.

A sports complex opens its pitches for booking, a neighbourhood league keeps its standings and a weekend tournament is put together the same day. They are three businesses with the same need, and all three fit in one platform.

I built it around three ways in, depending on who arrives: the pitch owner filling the calendar, the captain putting the team together and the player who wants a profile with statistics. Each one sees their own part, and all of them look at the same calendar.

🟢 Documented A product of my own, in production and open to the public. You open it at armacancha.com and see the system at work; usage figures come with a date and a sample when I publish them.

1 · The business

Bookings and occupancy
Calendar of every pitch, who booked and how much the month billed.

2 · The competition

Seasons and brackets
Leagues and tournaments with standings, top scorers and the bracket up to date.

3 · The game

Matches and statistics
Goals, assists and cards in the permanent profile of every player.

What is booked is what is played and what is counted when the day closes. That thread between the three parts is the work.

How I work

Five steps. The first one is free and the third is where almost everyone goes quiet.

Number 3 is the proposal: what is included, what it costs and when. You decide with the figure in front of you.

01

One-hour conversation

You tell me what is happening and I tell you how I would approach it. One hour, free.

02

Short diagnostic

We look at data and process, evidence before opinions. The scope comes out of here, in writing.

03

Proposal with a locked scope

What it includes, what it costs and in how long, with the scope locked in writing.

04

Building in releases

You see progress every week and decide on something that really works.

05

Handover

Documentation, training and the repository is yours. You decide whether I continue with the next stretch or your team carries on on their own.

Who Gianko is

A single engineer, accountable end to end.

I am Giancarlos. You deal directly with the person who writes the code: faster for you, and one single owner when something needs adjusting.

I work with companies in Costa Rica and the region, remotely. On large projects I bring in people I already know, and I remain the one accountable to you.

And there are criteria I apply every time. I would rather you know them before we start.

How I work

  • I choose the tool by the problem: when an open solution solves the same thing, I propose it open.
  • Everything goes through my hands: when a project asks for more people, I bring in people I already know and I stay the one accountable.
  • I understand the problem end to end before taking it on: when it pays off, we start with a diagnostic that leaves the road clear.
  • Every figure I publish carries a screenshot, a date and a sample.
  • The cases I publish can be opened: Armacancha is public and you can see it working.

Engagements

Three ways to work together. All three start by understanding your case.

Every project has its own scope and its own figure: two companies with the same symptom are living different situations. Quoting is free and the budget always goes in writing.

01

Fixed project

Fixed scope, fixed price and a delivery date. For when the problem is clear and needs finishing.

A fit for: a store, an app of your own, one specific integration.

02

Monthly support

Hours a month for maintenance, improvements and decisions as they come up. You can stop it whenever you like.

A fit for: systems already in production and still growing.

03

One-off consulting

A working session on your situation and a prioritized roadmap. You pay once and take it with you.

A fit for: before committing to a large project.

The budget comes after the diagnostic and always in writing. With the figure in front of you, you decide calmly.

Proof

Three things you can check today.

Here every claim can be checked: what you see is what there is, with its source and its date.

When a client authorizes me to publish their testimonial, it will appear here exactly as they said it. Until then, this section shows you what you can verify today.

🟢 Verifiable Armacancha. In production: soccer pitch bookings, leagues and tournaments. It is open at armacancha.com and you look at it right now.

🟢 Verifiable 10+ years of software in production. Fintech, e-commerce and data platforms. I can tell you what I built at each stage.

🟢 Verifiable The code stays in your repository. If we ever take different paths, you keep the system, its documentation and its code.

Straight questions

What people always ask me before we start.

Do you work alone?

Yes. I do the diagnostic, the proposal and the code myself. On large projects I bring in people I already know, and I am the one accountable, in direct contact.

What does a project cost?

It depends on the scope, and the scope comes out of the diagnostic. Every project has its own scope and its own figure: I would rather give you a real number after understanding your case.

How long does it take?

It depends on the problem. A dashboard is weeks; a store-and-orders ecosystem is months. The proposal carries a concrete date.

Do you work with clients outside Costa Rica?

Yes, remotely and in Spanish. Most of my clients are in Central America and the time zone plays in favor of working this way.

What if I am still defining what I need?

That is the most common case. That is what consulting is for: one working session and you come out with a prioritized roadmap, with the problem already named.

Do I get the code at the end?

Yes. The repository and the documentation stay in your organization, in your account. The system is yours end to end.

What technology do you use?

Whatever holds your operation up: WordPress or Next.js for sites, open source solutions adapted for the operational side, and code of my own when it is really needed. The tool is chosen by the problem. I also work with Laravel, Ionic, TypeScript, Angular and React Native, so I adapt to whatever each project asks for.

Can I start with something small?

Yes, and many times that is the best option: a diagnostic or one specific stretch. I prefer a first step that is short and well measured.

Start

Tell me the problem. I will tell you if I can solve it and what I would do.

Filling this in takes two minutes and the person who will do the work is the one who answers.

What you get:

  • A first read of your case, in writing.
  • My honest recommendation: how I would approach it and what I would do first.
  • The next conversation, with a proposed date.

Answered in under one working day. Quoting is free.
